And then you have to remember what you said to who, and if the spouse
 is going to find out, and... I set my head down at night with a clear
 conscious. I know when I have dropped a ball, and for that I can't be
 proud, nor effacing. It's there like a pile, and it stinks, and that's
 just the way it is. (Thinking of the song right now.)

Seeing as we had one transgression, I bought dad a card, where the
 office worker has stamped every flat surface with, f-it. Every wall,
 the clock... Inside it tells him. "Twenty-Eight, eh? F-that too!"

I hope I'm not offending anyone, but you'd have to know my dad to find
 it especially funny.
