Does it have DOS 3.x ? There's a known bug that causes the installer to
crash on XT's with DOS 3, I think 3.3 in particular. Use a boot disk
with a newer DOS, then install.
But this bug might only be in the 2.0 installer. I'm not sure, but it's
worth a shot.
