JC> In my community, many are openly hostile to a bicycle
JC> appearing on the same road as their precious automobiles.
JC> And sometimes, they throw more than insults.
I live around a lake that's in the northern part of the Dallas Ft.
Worth metropolitan area. There's a very popular off road trail that runs
behind my house through Murrell Park. Lots of people on off road bikes are
on the roads in the area, on their way to and from that trail. Over the last
eight to ten years or so, cycling in general has become much more popular in
the the DFW area. As a result of that, there's an ever increasing number of
cyclist on the roads. As this has evolved, the drivers have gotten better
and better about respecting a cyclist as another vehicle on the road.
Could it be J, that your problem is simply that the passing motorist
recognize you?
