-> If he used "AF jargon" like 'bird farm' that's a navy term.
I don't know of
-> any
-> other slang term for an aircraft carrier.

You know what we in the AF called carriers? LST's.
Large sailing targets.

It was new to me as well. This is just one of many references to "we in
the air force" and "at our air force base we saw ___" and
"back when I
was in the air force we used to say ___ about Carter" that caused so
many people to react negatively when Sauer admitted that he got homesick
and dropped out after two months. If he hadn't tossed in all the lies
about the planes he worked on and the crashes he witnessed first-hand,
if he had just been upfront in the first place, his quitting would have
been a one week thread or less. This thread, I believe, was the first
clear indication that he makes up stuff. There are many other examples,
such as the time he swore he heard George HW Bush attacking atheists in
a videotape. There was no videotape. Or the time he swore he heard
Paul Harvey ADMIT that a story he had aired (Hillary Clinton and the
Black Panthers) was phony. In reality, Paul Harvey NEVER RAN THE STORY
IN THE FIRST PLACE. And when Sauer posted a link to snopes.com to prove
the story was phony, the link led to an article that SAID Paul Harvey
had never aired the story.
That is a little bit of the context of the running attacks on Sauer's
honesty. There are many, many other examples.
