Thanks, I was trying to remember that. I had used it once before (I found it
by shear luck!) and I was trying all different kinds of keys.
Here is some info about my exploits that I think many of you may like to
ear;
I did some BBS'ng using Minicom (the ANSI is not so good), I am getting used
to Xwindows more now (still not sure about the virtual desktop thing).
I also found the most usefull and much needed utility in ALL of RedHat 5, the
LL
commands and many programs including games. I now do not need to already know
the command BEFORE I look it up. I can see a command and then click on it and
get a definition. I also found the INFO command. I can get a list of commands
from the command prompt using that. I just type "info" and I am given a menu
page with a bunch of commands that I can look up, it even has newbie support.
I can't say that I like it better than DOS's "help" menu, but it is there and
it works, I just use the TAB key to highlight the appropriate entry and hit
enter.
The above discoveries (some of which were in the user manual, just kinda hard
to find) have helped me get alot more comfortable with RedHat Linux. The OS
seems fine, too bad the authers overlooked so much about helping out newbies.
When I get my new HD I will probably dedicate my current 1/2gig to Linux.
