Mint basically is Ubuntu with all the non-free apps added. It also has a
better menu and gnome customizations. It even uses Ubuntu repositories for
updates and additional packages.

I usually change the gnome and icon themes to something I like. Right now
I'm in a green mood with Azenis Green with Azenis Orange icons. I know, but
it's not that bad of a contrast.
