visual basic of course, and that was written in cobol which, in turn was
written in fortran. fortran was written on the back of an old envelope
by a bunch of drunken engineers who broke into the computer room one
night after a very heavy porn and prawn night. once you realise that
that was the base of all, the reason for the fucking mess that we have
these days becomes clear (:

when it come to the down and dirty business of making a buck, the end
user doesn't give a shit if the product is written in sandskrit as long
as it does the job. you use the tools that work for you, hell i've even
known people make a living as "professional" clist
"programmers"! (sorry
mainframers in joke)

pascal is for poofs that need protecting from themselves, referencing a
null pointer is a character building exercise and provides endless
amusement for others. i'm against all this mollycoddling lets get back
to the old days when you could tell the bird with the big tits at a
party that you programmed computers, and she would coo "oo you must be
very clever", and when you modestly denied it she *knew* that you were
lying ;) now she probably writes in vb!
