subject: Manic Depression

Looking at some ideas on my son Jonathon. I will refresh your memory some
as its been a long time talking about him.
Jonathon was diagnosed as ADHD in 1st grade. He did take Ritalin for that
year, but was taken off of it the next and did well in school.
Jonathon is LD also as is approx 1.5-2 years behind, although improving with
homeschool.
Now this is what his personality or traits are now:
Very quiet, sometimes lethargic
Still loses tools for work.
Can answer questions in reading as long as the question proposed is asked
in a way that has some words in the answer. Direct questions, not
    thinking ones.
Somewhat daydreams
When sad, unhappy, disappointed or for no reason at all, he can become
    depressed
When happy, or just sometimes out of the blue, he becomes, giddy, or so
elated with happiness he becomes hyper, silly, etc.
Difficulty playing quietly with someone, but when alone he won't even know
he is there.
Very emotional, gets upsets and crys easily.
Sleeps alot most of the time.
Gets physically sick, throw-up, for no apparent reason, usually in the
vening
Is 13 and although jokes about sex, has no interest in it. Puberty is
physically
    approaching though.
Unsocial-feels kids in the neighborhood don't like him because they don't
ask him to come out and play-(this is not true, but he is an introvert
and likes the computer and sega games. He does not like to go out much
and is always worried about harming his bike if he goes bike riding and
asks silly like the other kids. He is not good at most sports, but can
play them like kick ball, football, hockey.
These things are some of what I can remember right now. It seems he has
little of the ADD traits, although I know he has compensated well for others
so you do not see them anymore. What I am wondering is since manic
epression
is what his sister has, does some of this seem to relate to that?. He did
have a bout of depression once for 2 weeks and yet he did not know why. Just
totally lethargic. I have some info, but it is hard to understand too many
big terms in it.
What is the difference in bi-polar and unpolar (something like that in the
latter word)?
Any one can answer this if they have some info for me.
Thanks
... All I need is a Wave and a board to surf it on.
