PK>Your block arrived today and it is just gorgeous!! You definitely
PK>must have
PK>a great stash!! Thank you sooo much!

KO> Thanks to *you* for putting together the FFQBE! Some of the

KO> centers are from the FQ you sent me 2 years ago. (Check Doris'
KO> Jacob's Ladder: I used it for hers, too.) Now, knowing how I feel
KO> about purple, would you believe I almost couldn't find enough
 KO> purples for this block??!
GRIN!! I knew I recognized that fabric! That FFQBE sure is great!
PK>This one is just absolutely fabulous!!
KO> Thanks, Pat. I'm going to get a crick in my neck from
KO> having my head turned, ya know. :) But, I must admit, there is

Mine is just gorgeous! Prettier than the others! PFFT!
KO> did Mike: he asked why I always send out the ones he really likes.
KO> (I haven't shown him my box of duplicates lately!) ;)
And I wouldn't either! :)
PK>As for the purple project, nothing is
PK>decided yet. I love purple and decided that I want to do a purple
PK>quilt, but
KO> I did my purple project! It was a "discipline" thang: I forced
KO> myself to use up some of the scraps & smaller pieces I have (had, I
KO> should say.) I did a Triple Irish Chain in purples &
KO> machine-embroidered floral wreaths on the white alternate blocks.
KO> The thing hung on my makeshift design wall in the dining room (a
KO> piece of felt tacked along the top of 2 side-by-side cabinets)
KO> until I took it down before it stretched out of shape! I still
KO> haven't decided what to do about borders: I'm debating between a
KO> Seminole-type or a border of minis. That will be my maybe-September
KO> project - after the school clothes are finished & before the
 KO> Christmas sewing starts. :)
Mine will be after Christmas and after New Year's! Too much to do between
now and then!
PK>Where did the time go?
KO> You're askin' ME?? It's the end of July already! I have to make a
KO> dress for my niece - she admired one that I made for Irene a couple
KO> years ago & I promised her I'd make her one before she starts off
KO> to K.garten. I think what she liked was the pearl bead trim around
KO> the neckline. I haven't been able to find anything quite like it
KO> yet, but I still have a little time. I still have one jumper I'm
KO> determined to make for myself, then have to get Irene's clothes
KO> started. My friend commented that with all the sewing I do, Irene
KO> should have plenty of school clothes. I said yes, she did, but she
KO> outgrew them & passed them on to the friend's daughter! Best get
KO> to work - I'm about to lose a week of precious sewing time! Happy
 KO> therapy! - Kathy ...
Kids grow too fast! At least my Bargello skirt is DONE!! So is my guild's
newsletter, web page is partially updated, and I will work on the hanger for
the quilt and it's label tomorrow! Then on to the Sunbonnet Sue quilt!
xLater!,
