Title: Orange Baked Pork Chops

Yield: 4 servings
4 5 0z. Pork loin chops
1/2 c Orange juice
1 tb Soy sauce
1 tb Honey
1/8 ts Dried thyme
1/2 ts Grated orange peel
1/4 ts Dry mustard
2 ts Onion flakes
Broil chops in preheated broiler, turning once, until lightly browned.
Place in a shallow baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients and por over
chops. Cover and bake 1 hour.
Per serving: 28g protein, 9g fat, 9g carb., 324mg sodium, 83mg chol., 232

Title: Orange Beef and Wild Rice

Yield: 4 servings
3/4 lb Topround steak; 1/2" cubes
1 Onion; chopped
2 Carrots; sliced
1/2 lb Mushrooms; sliced
2 Cloves garlic; finely chop'd
1/2 ts Dried thyme
1 ts Grated orange zest
1 c Orange juice
1 cn (13 3/4 oz) reduced-sodium
-- beefbroth
1 pk (6 oz) wild and white rice
-- pilaf
1/4 c Chopped parsley
Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 40 - 45 minutes Cost: $ 1.66 each
1) Brown beef in nonstick dutch oven. Add onion, carrot, mushrooms; cook 8
minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Add thyme, zest, juice, broth, rice
with seasonings.
2) Simmer, covered 30 to 35 minutes. Stir in parsley.
Nutrient Value per serving: 346 calories, 29 g protein, 5 g fat, 46 g
carbohydrate, 559 mg sodium, 53 mg cholesterol.
Exchanges: 1 1/2 starch/bread, 2 meat, 1/2 fruit, 1 3/4 vegetable, 1/4 fat.
