subject: ATHEISTS BEING GOOD WORKE

J>-> Faith is simply synonymous with belief and trust (in any context)

J>Hmmmm.

J>Belief is more cognitive.

J>Faith is more experiential.

Nope.

Faith is but trust in one's belief BEYOND reason.
That person had it right.

J>Beliefs are subject to explanation...and can be attempts to share.

Huh?

J>(I may get around to changing that sentence so that it makes some
J>sense...but as I'm writing on the fly...:-)

J>My Belief in Buddhism I can try to explain/share

J>My Faith in Buddhism --- impossible.

That last sentence you must regret. Both because of lack of sense in
it's construction AND it's lack of sense altogether.

OF COURSE you (one could) explain the faith in, and the reasoning behind
faith in, one's Buddhist belief(s).

J>At some point our understanding of the world around us
J>-> breaks down, and we must have faith that others understand what we
J>don't....

J>A given when we first become cognitive critters. But the wave of less
J>so continues --- right up until you reach my age :-) (76)

At 76 you should have "fingered out" that absolutes aren't.
