STOP! WAIT! HOLD YOUR BREATH! (but not too long) :-)
I didn't sold my Courier and still don't think about selling it. I've used
several modems in the past 10 years and none of them did come close to the
Courier. Just looking to the hardware and the way it works it's still one of
the best modems sold.
But for me that's not the only thing that counts. Also the support is one of
the things that makes a 'good modem' for me. I was (and still am) thinking of
buying a second modem and a Courier (perhaps even a Courier-I) was on top of
the list. But USR isn't the only one making good modems and I also count in
the support when buying a product, USR moved down on my list and ZyXEL and
ELSA are now the numbers 1 and 2.
ZyXEL because I know they also make good hardware and as far as I know the
support is good (I don't have any experience myself with ZyXEL at this
moment). ELSA which I do have experience with myself and I'm very pleased
with my hardware (ISDN Terminal Adapter and a VGA adapter) as well as with
the support from ELSA.
Greetings,
Jos Huijnen
