Directly from the e-mail. I just copied it to the desktop though and now
it tries to open:

"X:\Documents And Settings\User\Desktop\Linked Workbook.xls"

It's assuming the linked file is always in the same place relative to the
linking file.

I've also tried going into Excel's options (TOOLS>OPTIONS) and selecting
the "Web Options" on the "General" tab. This gives you
the option to "update links on save" which was checked by
default. I unchecked this thinking that it meant the links would be
updated next time the file was opened/ altered (i.e. from the
e-mail), but this made no difference at all ?
