GS> JS> DRN> I doubt very much if the USP will ever replace the 1911 for
several
GS>JS> DRN> reasons and the biggest one is price. No flames, just think that
th
GS>JS> DRN> price will forever make any H & K a low volume seller.
GS>JS> I don't see it so much as price, $650 vs. $450-500 is not unworkable
n
GS>JS> any but the most extreme case. Plenty of Colts go for well beyond the
GS>JS> USP's price, and folks gladly shell out for them.
GS>I just recently got my USP .40 for $529, with a 13 and a 10 rd mag. I was
GS>happy. Certainly competitively priced to a plain ole Colt, and cheaper
GS>than the S&W in stainless.
I think the .45's are a bit more, for no other reason but demand. There
are still a few 13 round magazines to be had, but for triple digit prices
unfortunately. I picked up a slew of 10 rounders instead: magazine
swapping in the USP is a quick affair anyway, so it's not that big of a
deal.
