There should be a doorparty-connector.ini in the same directory as the
doorparty-connector executable. The defaults should work for most people and
are like so:

I just made a change to doorparty.js, maybe grab the latest copy and try it:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/echicken/dpc2/master/synchronet/doorparty.js

If you have a [doorparty] section in ctrl/modopts.ini, comment it out or delete
it for now.

With all of that done, and with what you've described, I don't see why it
wouldn't work.
