Well, DSP itself goes nowhere :-). And I do beleive in what ZyXEL 
_officially_ states... at least stated for several month ago. Even if we 
forget about their statements for a moment one could guess that a totally 
different technology (57K6 - xADL?) will not fit into existing DSP.
Besides ZyXEL was not very successful in streamlining their existing code 
until now - the same bugs are present in f/w 1.13 as they were for a year 
go.
Probably ISDN capabilities of Elite improved - but not anolog capabilities 
and those include fax and voice function as long as data functions.
ZyXEL have effectively stopped developing of analog modems and concentrated 
on ISDN devices in the past year and half.
All this leaves me no reason to beleive that ZyXEL will produce a competitive 
analog product capable of 57K6in the near future.
