Hello Rick!

Airborne left it. My other three USR modems showed up via Fed-x whom put
a note on the door. At least I got it in time.
RG> PRODUCT PRICE
RG> External Courier I-Modem ISDN/V.34 Model 1 $ 349
RG> Internal Courier I-Modem ISDN/V.34 Model 1 (ISA) $ 299
I think that is an old list. The external Imodem is about $50 more than a
V.Everything.

Yep. Even though if me/gte don't get things configured correctly, that
pretty much kills my two data lines. From all the horror storys that I've
heard about getting ISDN lines installed and configured correctly, I think
that I may be on the phone to 3Com/USR and/or GTE.
RG> I read a few weeks ago HST was broken in I-Modem code, but since been
RG> repaired. Last reportI saw Sunday (26th) was "Modem Pool 8/16 ISDN
RG> hst functionality is broken in Imodem 2.2.2 code."
HST does not concern me at all. Actually, much of the internal workings
of the Imodems V.Everything does not really concern me as it will only be
used for OUTGOING calls, which I'm expecting to connect at v120 instead of
any of the analog protocalls. Incoming data calls (IE: My fidonet node) will
be sent to the analog device port, which has a perfectly functional
V.Everything external plugged into it.
Looking at the date codes on the modem, I think it was built in January,
so I did go ahead and upgrade the firmware to include v90. I did find it odd
that it only has a 20MHZ processor in it.
RG> Is the Analog device port on the Imodem 'alive' at all times for
RG> dialing out or does it have to be configured to work?
The ISDN line has to be configured or "conditioned" properly as well as
the Imodem needs to be configured properly for the analog device port to
rk.
RG> Just checked the 3Com site...says, "...To find out more about I-team,
RG> call 1-888-877-4736." Have you stumbled across the 3Com/USR www site:
RG> http://totalservice.usr.com/cgi-bin/w3com/start?totalservice+i-team
The web page asks you to call the 1-888 number which has a recording
saying something like "we are experencing telephone difficultys, please leave
a message and the Iteam will call you back."
I left 2-3 messages and never got a call back. Oh-well.
