Well folks I hate to throw water on a great little fire, but.....
 
Those "training exercises" are taking place all over the country as part
of a counter/anti-terrorism task force simulation/exercise...
It involves units of DELTA, 169th Night Stalker Squadren Black Hawks out
of 82nd and 101st. Along with HRT and assorted other fellows that like
to dress in black...
 
They have been here to Birmingham, AL and I have seen them. The Black
Hawks are really sharp. They have the FLIR pods on the side. We had a
few exercises in some abandond warehouses that we reconed after they
left..The flash bangs they are using use a .30 cal Carbine blank in
them. Thought that was neat. They left quit a few spent blasting caps
out in the street. We also found a watch under some of their ruble that
they left. Their clean up crews need to be a little more careful as
to what they leave around. They exercises are harmless for now, mostly
urban warfare type stuff. What was wild was that they failed to notify
the general public as to what was going to take place and boy were the
switch boards at 911 lit......
