Been to this place a few times. I enjoyed it but only got the Bone-in Rib
each visit. Which I really liked. CFS is hit or miss at most places. It
seems now a days most places are using frozen patties. We have a few diners
here in Plano that do this. Oh course a decent CFS needs to be fresh meat,
beaten to death so its tenderized, then of course hand battered and either
deep or pan fried. Gravy is the second step, needs to be thick, creamy, and
peppered and of course made out of the grease the meats are fried in. Been
to many places that had great gravy (Lil Gus's) in Plano but the bastard
uses premade frozen CFS patties. This place is owned by the brother of the
Guy who use to own Little Chef in Plano but he closed his doors down a few
years ago. I use to work there as a kid when I was 14 and use to watch him
make his gravy every morning which seems to be the same recipe Lil Gus's
uses now. It was good on everything.
