subject: Simple Thread Xmpl

Hello All,
I am new to multi-thread programming. Actually I can't do it at all
yet . I am porting a TUI to os/2. I would like to use my existing
mouse class with this library for obvious portability reasons. That, and alot
of routines are built taking this mouse class for granted... My problem is that
the way I did it before was to call a Mouse.Update() routine everytime I wanted
to check mouse coordinates, and if buttons were down.. Now I know there are
better ways to do it under os/2, but once again it has to function exactly like
it's (dos). So this is what I would like to do. I would like to start a thread
from the constructor of the mouse class. This thread would terminate if no mouse
was available, else it would update the members (x,y,Buttons...) of the mouse
class upon any event. (Using blocking reads).

I allready know how to do all the mouse stuff I just needa very simple
example of starting a seperate thread in this manner...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
                        Paul Rider
