If I remember correctly, with the SQ386(p) version of squish, the maximum
message size is aboue 256Kb.  If you are seeing 500Kb message size in an
echo, that is probably what is doing it....

I suspect the Linux version of Squish could be updated to support longer
messages.  I don't know if anyone has the code compiling to change toe OS/2
and Win NT versions for larger packets.
