MUCH faster. Once the point software is set up you just poll for messages tah dah, *DNLD and UPLD's occur at the same time.* You do not have to go into your telnet program, log onto the BBS which in some cases may be SLOW go through the screens to the menu, go to the qwk door etc etc etc and if the bbs is SLOW your dnld or upld may be likewise effected. Also with qwk door you have to dnld or upld separately. Granted each method has its ups and downs. And if the system you point from is down, well you're in the same boat either way. :) Cindy --- PPoint 3.01* Origin: Up a palm tree (1:3613/1275.13) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 3613/1275 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
