That attitude is pervasive among the Left and certainly helps to at least

"end justifies the means" early morning raid, among other things.

Interestingly enough, a form of that attitude also caused the Left
(especially among the chattering class) to largely look the other way
during the reign of terror of other murderous despot's, such as Stalin...
so long as their politics agreed in at least some measure with those of the
Left. (IOW, there seems to be some bizarre instinctive sense of
"kinsman", even while a favored dictator is imprisoning,
starving, or executing thousands to millions of his own people.)

Little wonder most of you have so much difficulty discriminating between
the U.S. and dictatorships such as Cuba.
