Hi, it's me once again, coming to harass you about any and all sound &
music for future 3D Realms games. :-)
Anyhow, I'm thinking that an interesting idea for the Duke Nukem Forever
soundtrack would be to get good songs from various bands that fit various
levels. A level similar to It's Impossible could use the theme to "The
Saint," by Orbital; likewise, a downtown map like LA Rumble could use "Da
Funk" by Daft Punk. Obviously, you don't have to use quite those exact
groups, but something in that vein would be nice.
I've composed my own little "top picks" list if you're curious:
 - Prodigy (heard "Firestarter?")
 - White Zombie (for those scenes on the Harley)
 - Chemical Brothers (high-tech maps)
 - Orbital (just told you why)
 - Daft Punk (just told you why, part 2)
 - Dick Dale (for that Pulp Fiction feel)
 - Tom Jones (the prerequisite "lounge lizard" music for Vegas)
Hope this helps. Anyhow, speaking of Tom Jones, will you have
"Kung-Fu Fighting" as one of the CD tracks for Shadow Warrior? You'd think
it would be mandatory. Just listen to the credits for Supercop, and you'll
know which rendition I'm thinking of.
