| subject: | Bug In Warptlkt Exehdr |
Just discovered a bad bug in EXEHDR.EXE v 3.00.002 as distributed
with WarpTlkt\Toolkit in DevCon 7. The filedate is 3/8/95 and the
record length is 62122 bytes. Today is the first time I tried to use
it, and it produced an "access violation" when run against a PL/I
program I had just compiled! (The program compiled with return code 0,
and ran OK.) Running it against itself (exehdr exehdr) produced garbage
near the beginning of the display, and ended up with an " error U1107:
Unexpected end of resident name table."
I have gone back to version 2.10.000 as distributed with the
Warptlkt in DevCon 6. The filedate is 11/18/94 and the length is 62102
bytes. When used to analyze the newer EXEHDR, it also produced the same
"error U1107." So I guess the problem is really in there!
I have reported this to devcon&vnet.ibm.com. Watch for DevCon 8!
