SB> I was thinking about going sailing. Does anyone have any tips?
In a high wind and being a novice sailor, you should get
plenty of tips!
Seriously, try renting a boat in a small, warm lake for your
first outing. Should you do tip over, you won't mind the
dunking. (Sequim Bay is about 45 deg!)
Also, at least read a beginners book on sailing. Take a course
if you can find one in your area. The local yacht club here
trains some 90 or more sailors a year, including adult classes.
The main thing is to have fun and continue to learn. No one
ever can know all there is about sailing, which is why it is
always fun everytime out there.
