subject: Toe-nail clipping?

-> Hello all,
->
-> I have 2 budgies, and they're toe-nails are getting rather long, so I
-> figured I ought to trim them. My question is, then... How? :). What
-> do I use to trim them, and how far down from the cuticle do I cut
-> them?
-> -Tim
Hi Tim,
  you should be able to see were the blood in the nails stop at. You
should not cut them back in to there.. in case that you do and they
begin to bleed you can purchase Quick Stop from you local avain vet some
pet stores have it as well this stops the bleeding.If you can not find
that i have also found that sticking the bleeding toe into a SOFT bar of
soap works as well sticking it into some flour.Hope this helps a little.
