I don't know if the current shuttle mission has SAREX or other Ham gear
aboard, but it is not a Mir support mission. Different orbital inclination,
and orbiter Columbia is too heavy to easily reach Mir with useful payload,
anyway. (Despite external apperances, shuttle orbiters are not quite
identical. With advances even during the time they were built, espically for
the much newer orbiter Endevauor, the newer ones are more capable than the
earlier ones.
But a Progress cargo ship will soon be launched by the Russians (one was
planned anyway, but it was delayed to put more urgently needed supplies in
place of the intended manifest), so there should be more traffic on the
regular Mir air-to-ground frequencies. (Though they might only be heard in
Europe.)
Barring anything unusual, the next shuttle flight to Mir will be in the
fall.
