Hi Lyle;
I haven't seen the BRI types availiable to reloaders, but that
dosen't mean the're not out there. The wad used in the Lyman
and Lee reloads acts like a sabot also. This keeps you from having
to scrub all that lead out of your barrel like after shooting the std
fosters bought over the counter. Unless you have a fully rifled
barrel, I don't know if the BRIs or any of the high priced sabot slugs
would make much difference. I've never found the fancy rifled barrels
and hi buck slugs to be all that cost effective for the normal range
slugs are used at. I've killed deer every year using my old 870
smoothbore slug barrel and foster slugs. I've never felt handicapped
with it at all. I just find all shooting is more fun when you
"roll your own" ammo.
Take Care
Dave
