Well there is this:

#define MAX_AREAS   8000

Which I could just up to whatever. ;)

But I will have to look a bit closer where it's used in what ways, and what
the concequences for memory usage are. And if possible I would like to make
it a configuration option, so that it wouldn't use the extra resources for
people that don't need it. ;)

Are you sure you want to use FMail for this? It wasn't really designed to
handle usenet... ;)
