MS>But the presence of state-level competency exams for graduation
MS>doesn't mean that a HS grad is competent in anything, so why do
MS>you think a national-level competency exam will?
RM>Who has a "state-level competency exam for graduation"?!?
>Even NY, with its Regents exams, has NO exit exam for
>competency; to which state(s) are you referring?
TC>Texas has one and Arkansas at least locally is planning one.
TC>You can exit without passing but you won't exit with a diploma.
A step in the right direction; now if the exams can be made
reasonably rigorous, and applied throughout the states, we
might have something!
