Here's a drink mix that can be made ahead and used anytime, from the 1979
Pillsbury Kitchens' Family Cookbook.

Russian Tea

3 cups sugar
2 cups orange-flavored instant breakfast drink
 (Ed. note: Tang)
1 cup instant tea
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon

In medium bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Please 2 rounded
tablespoonsfuls of mix in each cup.  Fill with boiling water, stil well. 
Cool and serve over ice.  Dry mix may be kept in covered storage container.
