My brother-in-laws brother lives in Minnesota, and travels to Alaska
every year, he does keep some of his dogs in Fort Nelson, (his dad's
place) about 300 miles from me.  And yes every little bit helps.  I
see the teams heading up to Alaska and Whitehorse every year.

Whitehorse is 918 miles from me and Alaska border 1202 miles from me.
