What's wrong with a full screen text mode IDE?  Easier to program, easier
on the eyes.

Most people around here use either "boxer" or "emacs"
for the editor part.  For an easier way to compile large projects, check
out my "bake" utility (bakev100.zip on ftp.cdrom.com, probably
still in the incoming directory...)
