I have read two in depth reviews on the Sunfire Amp and have their ad
slicks here. All look very impressive and quite economical considering the
specs. I believe the market is kind of hoping that if they ignore him and his
new line, they will go away.
I wouldn't be afraid to buy one as my main amp and I haven't even heard it
yet. There is one local dealer who carries both the amps and the new Sunfire
Sub, but he has not set them both up in the demo room yet.
We are doing a major remodelling to attempt to cure the ills of my
"listening room from hell". Looks good so far. My rear surrounds will be an
equal distance from the listening position as the mains and center. I am
curious to hear how that will sound. My side walls are now at least three
feet
in either side..away from the speakers and the ceiling is at 12 ft where my
speakers sit. Only the rear wall will still come into play only being about
16" away from the rear of the speakers. The Focus allow me to turn off the
rear facing woofer if I get too much boom and not enough crack. That will
help,
but everything is still up in the air. I am trying this in lieu of buying a
new house based solely on my need for a better listening area.
Cheers, John
