We can't have our cake and eat it, too, Darn it!

With a 20X range roughly the equivalent of 35mm to 400mm on the Sony FD-95
it comes close. Ten X optical plus 10 digital allows me to frame near and
far at the moment's notice without doing more than moving the index finger
on the zoom to the magnification desired. Sure wish it had 5 mega pixels
instead of 2.1 but in the end result it often gives equal or better quality
than max range tele extension on the CP 5000 because that has to be blown up
so far to come close to the Sony image.
