I have heard that just shortly after the accident when the space
station was over Florida, that the american astronaut contacted NASA
on the amateur radio and relayed the status of the space station to
them.
I have heard, also, that the space shuttle is scheduled for a liftoff
tomorrow, July 1st. It is scheduled to go on a 10 day mission.
I don't know if it is going to rondezvous with the space station or
not, but they are supposed to be transmitting on 145.55 and listening
on 144.91 144.93 144.95 144.97 and 144.99.
I know that there are several other people who have been interested in
attempting to contact the space shuttle, so this should be of a help
to them.
