22 May 97 11:11, Hey Rocky! Jack Schwendener pulled 396 outta his hat!:
JS> Yup. And I have seen a factory cast iron tri-power for the s/b
JS> Chevys, but I don't think they were factory installed, just dealer
JS> and over the counter. And then there was the Olds factory J-2
 JS> tri-power in '57
I owned one of those J2's, back about 1965...took it in as a partial trade
for my 55 Del Ray. Super 88, 4dr hardtop...hmmmm, oh yeah, traded that for a
58 Fairlane 500 with the first big block, 332 CI..
 JS> and the 406 Ford in '62 .... At one time I had a
JS> Cobra Kit tri-power with Holleys on my 289 '64 Comet, but I had too
JS> many problems and traded it for a single 4-bbl.
I always thought multiple carburation was a pain...then along came the
Q-jet...
... No philosophical BS, just live and let live!
