Perhaps someday in the future, technology may make a breakthrough, but the
problem is that there is simply not that much energy per sq/mtr to ever make
solar truly a viable system for mobile power production for a vehicle as
small as a family car.
Solar powered aircraft (Mostly for cruise phase) or ships is more likely
viable.
