RN> RW>>> BTW, do you have a link to the Wikileaks echo? RN> RN> RN>> No. What's there? RN> RN> RW>> Janis, Ross and Euros... RN> RN> RN> I pass. (-: Do you have one? RN> RN> RW> 8^) No... RN> RN> Do you want one? I've heard about it before. Can't really say off hand I'm a big fan of Wikileaks. Lord knows I have no problems believing the Government is hiding info from us, but after a while the same old stuff gets a little boring to say the least. Is this a plea for "This echo is desperate need of more links to stay on the backbone" or a "Please someone contribute!" or just a "Here's a new echo anyone want to join it?" ;-) If it's not dead and needs more boards carrying it, I have no problems carrying it. One thing I don't need though is to carry another dieing echo.... Far too many echos on Fidonet need to be trimmed. Other networks really need to trim their dead echos as well, but... It's a pain in the rear when you look at the list of echos and decide to pick one that sounds cool and once you pick it up, you find your the only person that reads and post to the echo, including the moderator! Sadly, robot postings once a month or so seems to be enough to keep them listed on the backbone. A majority of the problems with echos like that are power hungry moderators. So determined to wear another hat that they'd rather let their echo die off than to do their job. Moderators need to do more than just tell people they can't post. They need to start posting messages to get others talking! If they can't participate in the echo, how the heck do they expect others to? Sorry, didn't mean to vere off the topic. So what's Wikileaks like? Is it on your BBS? Maybe I need to call a BBS and check it out... ---* Origin: Roach Guts BBS * roachguts.com * Fidonet (1:396/60) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 396/60 45 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
