subject: proposed new nodelist [2]

Hi Mark,

I disagree. The "owner" of a domain can decide exactly how they
wish to use the various DNS record types available, however what I suspect
you are talking about refers to PSTN only nodes. To me, all PSTN Nodelist
entries remain exactly as they are, and only IP nodes need use the new
format. If a node has PSTN and IP, then they need an entry in both lists.

This way we do not saddle one list type with information for the
"other" type.

ml> and we don't even want to think what a POTS node

It talks IP & DNS, that's all it needs to do. The same for an IP node,
if it needs to talk to a PSTN node, it HAS to use the current Nodelist.
This is exactly what current IP nodes have to do...

Cheers...............pk.
