The Rules

Trying to argue echo rules versus echolist with a brick wall is circular, 
thusly I am forced to do this.

What is this:

A text file outlining the rules and the other particulars of this echo, 
posted periodically to remind echo participants and a practice imbibed in 
by many a conference moderator.

The Brief particulars:

Echotag name: MATZDOBRE

 Description: General Flame Echo.

   Moderator: Ross Cassell

The Main Particulars:

While it is true that this echo is a "General Flame Echo",  to
"FLAME" 
someone is neither a pre-requisite or a requirement, you may at your choosing 
decide to have civil conversations if you so desire, the only thing that you 
need to know is that FLAMING is allowed.

Knowledge of the Sauer Chirnside Commision, a well known welfare fraud junta, 
is a plus.

Here are a few key factoids that will put you in like flynn with the Sauer
Chirnside commission.

* Seen glowing meteors in any of the North American Great Lakes?

* Wallayed the motorcade of a former US President, while on your bicycle?

* Any relatives, survivors of or deceased from any conflict or tragedy 
  that shook the American psyche?

  days spent recovering from a injury sustained while horsing around and
  being discharged from USAF because of injury, then throughout this 
  be able to claim you are a weapons mechanic on the USAF Fighter jet, 
  The A-10 thunderbolt?

* Ever Precisionnaires best employee?

* A big bad biker dude?

Do you:

* Have a IQ of 137?

* Have a fascination with childrens toys, especially those that originate
  from both Japan and Japanese anime?

* Hate women?

* Consume medications prescribed by the Vet for your Dog?

* Abuse, beat or kill your feline pets, the only pussy you have ever 
  known?

Can You:

* Claim and receive benifits from a federal social program you never ever
  contributed to?

* Lift 700 pounds and perform trigonometry functions simultaneously?

Are your:

* Pets eating better food than you are either literally or comparitively?

Are you:

* All knowing about any and every subject?

Additionally, the official "NUMBNUT" of the MATZDOBRE echo is LEE LOFASO.

This takes care of the subject matter, now the administrative things..

MATZDOBRE is a Fidonet echo, it is available for distribution in all 6 Zones.

This echo may not be gated to any other network (FTN, Internet or otherwise) 
without prior moderator consent.

The rules of this echo are dictated by the conference moderator. 

The relationship this echo has to the "Echolist" is for database
purposes only,
this means that this echo is identified inside the Echolist for purposes of 
identifying the echoes name, description and moderator to the various Fidonet 
backbone distributers/hubs who transport the echo. The echolist is not in 
any way, shape or form the source of the rules of or for this echo, you 
are reading them now!

Rules:

Profanity is allowed.

No threats of physical violence.

If what you may say is illegal, dont say it. 

Real names are preferred, for purposes of humor, sarcasm you may use a handle 
if you can be identified in your sig lines or footnote in the body of the 
message, you may not however impersonate other echo members or other real 
people known to use Fidonet.

Notes...

A.

I am not a policeman, nor am I the court system, anyone violating the rules 
will be removed from this echo with or without prior warnings, beyond that 
your pursuit of the offender is your business, leave Fidonet and/or myself 
out of it. You enter this echo AT YOUR OWN RISK, if you are easily 
offended to the point that you want a tormenter punished within or outside 
of FIDONET, then you should not be here!! No one can libel/slander you if 
you dont expose yourself to it. Excessive crying about such might lead to 
you being removed from the echo.

B.

Fidonet policy does not apply to this echo, except for its interaction with 
other NODELISTED systems. This is a echomail conference, Fidonet defines 
echomail as merely a different flavor of NETMAIL, therefore this echo must 
be shown to cause some technical issues on a system transporting it or 
otherwise carrying it for Fidonet policy to be remotely actionable. Fidonet 
policy is also not enforceable on or by non-nodelisted individuals. 

C.

As moderator I reserve the right to enforce the rules or not on a case by case
basis in addition to adding to them as needed.
