The characters "R" and "Y" in 5-level baudot code are inverses of each other 
with bit patterns of 10101 and 01010.  Strings of "RYRYRY" were sent for 
tuning purposes, since the time spent averaged over two characters was as 
close to 50/50 split between mark and space as you can get.  On a tuning 
scope, you would see a nice, straight cross while "RYRYRY" was being 
eceived.
