can you do a traceroute and see what it shows? I don't understand why one
ping gets there and the next doesn't but there are two possibilities.
first is that the machine is sending the second ping to somewhere else,
second is that the ping gets there but the reply is going somewhere else.
If you can, do a
route print
from your NT box, then look on the dsl router and see if you can get a list
of routes from it as well, post them or email me a copy so I can see where
it's sending stuff.
