subject: LIMIT help?

Hello All!
I'm trying to get the LIMIT archiver working as far as COMPRESS.CFG is
working.
Here's my COMPRESS.CFG entry for limit :
Archiver LIM
        Extension LIM
        Ident 0,4C4D1A08
        DOS Add LIMIT C %A %F
        DOS Extract LIMIT E %A
        DOS View LIMIT L %A
End Archiver
Now, from what I can tell, that's correct, as here's the header (in hex) from
a .LIM file :
000000 4C 4D 1A 08 00 12 10 00 80 D1 05 00 00 23 F1 23
000010 00 00 00 11 60 47 23 20 00 01 80 08 00 00 23 03
I believe the header uses the first 8 bytes, but for now I've cut it down to
the first 4.
The problem is, whenever I choose 'Contents (archive)' from the file menu,
Max tells me :
Searching archive: FILES.LIM
File "FILES.LIM" is not a ZIP/LZH/ARC/PAK/ARJ, or file damaged.
I already know it's not one of the listed archives.
Looking through the dox, is it not possible to add extra archivers to Max for
anything other than the OLR system?
TIA for any help on this..
Dave
