Hi Derek,
according to my sources, there should have been a proposed B-58B with
increased range, max TOW 89.813 kgs, engines J-79-9. The prototype was
ordered in october '58 (as nr 60-1109) but was cancelled end of '59.
Then there should have been a B-58C, an enlargened version with P&W J58
engines, which was cancelled again. Same for B-58D Interceptor and B-58E
Multi Purpose Bomber. And finally, the proposed CV-58-9 with four J58 engines
and 26 passengerseats as the civil SST version...
