Anyway the guppies in my tank > My question is, when is the right moment to put the female into a > breeding plastic simil tank? I mean those floating transparent > little > bowl to put in the tank. never!! Fill the top 1/3 with a floating type plant and let the babies hide. If you want to save them then watch the female daily and when she has dropped the babies (ie:she will look noticeably thinner) then seach the plants (guppies are photo tropic and usually will be found near the surface close to the light) for them. Scooping out as many as you choose to a rearing tank. Tell we where are you from? Are you in a city, town or from a farm or whatever. If you have good tap water then a 5 or 10 gallon tank mixed 1/2 water from the main tank, 1/2 declorinsated fresh water having already been set up.. will be an ideal grow out tank. Guppies like alot of plants in the tank, I've kept guppies for month unfed in a tank filled with various plants (guppies eat a primary plant based diet). above all enjoy your fish. What types do you keep? Have you had any breed in your tanks? How many and what types of tanks do you use? I have several 'pen pals' in Europe our club is very big in the heartlands...
