| subject: | Re: Norton batch |
* An ongoing debate between Paul Quinn and Ben Ritchey rages on ... BR>> I'm trying to add an automated/Batch weekly task that will run BR>> Norton Disk Doctor against all DOS drives (under MS-DOS 6.22). PQ: > What does it do after doing only _1_ drive? Perhaps a FOR %%D in PQ: > (drive list) DO blah, blah might be the trick.[shrug] Depends if any errors are encountered, then the same thing, NDD displays a summary screen with options to Save Report or Continue (even though Auto-Repair is enabled and the Report Save is already defined) ... doesn't seem to matter how many drives (stops after each one). If NO errors are encountered, and only ONE drive is selected, then it DOES exit properly, BUT the reason I'm running NDD is because of expected known errors in the directory structure (created by Linux probably & always there weekly). I can currently only fix these under Win98SE using ScandskW. The exception is DOS C:, where I HAVE to use NDD. DOS Scandisk finds the errors but says they have to be fixed under Wins. :( -- Be well, : Ben aka cMech http://bellsouthpwp.net/c/m/cmech617/ : + WildCat!
