Hi Errol! ES> The good thing with a conventional sampler is that the ES> samples can be played back on any 64 through the good old ES> SID chip. But I am yet to find one with decent quality. I beleive that the quality is a problem of the SID chip as opposed ¨to the sampler... I proted across some Amiga samples and even though ¨they were good quality on the Am*ga they still sounded relatively ¨poor on the 64... I have heard some rumour about using the pulse waveform output to ¨run 12 bit samples, and I think there's an example of this in ¨Wonderland 10/Censor Design, take a look.
