Auto Repair is defined to handle this automatically in Options Config:

Warning
Automatic repair is a powerful tool that
may not be appropriate for all situations.
When automatic repair is enabled, no error
messages are displayed and the user is not
given the option of skipping the repair.
The only way to find out what was repaired
is by reading the final report. You must
carefully consider whether this level of
automation is right for you.
Enable automatic repair?
OK Cancel
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I select OK, of course

Worth a try. I have a full complement of Norton Utilities v8 (circa 1994) plus
the latest versions of DiskEdit and NDD from NSW 2003 (which is what I'm
running). The latest Norton Utilities I have access to (from NSW 2003) are all
Windows versions :( except for DiskEdit, NDD, Unerase & Unformat (since they
are used on the Rescue diskette I presume).
